Join us! The Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center will open to the public with a large-scale event on Saturday, November 1st, from 1:00-9:00pm. This date marks the official reopening of the newly renovated building as well as our annual celebration of Dia de los Muertos.
- Indoor/ Outdoor Event
- All ages. family friendly
- Day of the Dead altars including a collective altar to which you can contribute a note for a loved one
- Art exhibit in the Sam Z. Coronado Gallery
- Face painting and sugar skull making
- Mexamericon Comic Convention
- Art installatons and giveaways by Las Piñatas/ Latinos in Architecture (LiA)
- Tours/ entrance to the new building
- Theater, dance, music, and workshops
- Food trucks
- Free shuttle bus from East Holly st. neighborhood to the MACC
- Community Resource Fair
- Artisan Market
- Outdoor Stage with live music- band announcements coming soon!

- Bring your photographs & flowers to add the community altar on November 1. No perishables or valuables please!
