This project will repair and stabilize approximately 1800 linear feet of a degraded channel in the Indian Hills Subdivision and protect up to 67 houses from further erosion.
We will use natural materials and native vegetation. The project also includes removal of trash and debris.
The project is located behind homes on Bitter Creek Drive, Ripple Run and Raleigh Circle, between Branchwood Drive and East William Cannon Drive.
The design phase is ongoing, including permit review and drainage easement purchases. Construction is scheduled to start in fall 2019.
Note: To construct this project and begin stabilizing the banks, the City needs to purchase drainage easements along the eroding, streamside properties. A drainage easement gives the City limited rights of access or use to access and maintain infrastructure or to provide a place for water to flow. Property owners should not build fences, walls, sheds or buildings within a drainage easement.
