Joseph and Susanna Dickinson hosts "Gone to Texas" quilt exhibit

Aug 30, 2012 - 2:37 pm

The Dickinson Museum's new exhibit, Gone to Texas: Women and Quilts, features 19th century quilts that are both historic and beautiful. Some of them are from private collections from Texas families and are exhibited for the first time. In a larger way, the quilts reveal frontier immigration itself, as they came to Texas on wagons, by paddle boat or steam train, or even on foot.
