Austin Parks and Recreation provides accessible, diverse, and inclusive summer camps, and now offers early registration for community participants who qualify for financial aid, adaptive and inclusion support programs. There are camps for youth (ages 5 to 12) and for teens (ages 12 to 15) at select locations.

Alliance Children's Garden

The Alliance Children’s Garden is a 2-acre play venue within Michael Butler Park that encourages group play, learning and creativity in downtown Austin. The garden design is tailored for children while providing a variety of play and recreational experiences, including promotion of wellness and education for families and visitors of all ages and abilities.The space is divided into four thematic rooms, each reflecting Austin’s unique culture and environment. Join the City of Austin Parks & Recreation Department and the Project Connect team to discuss the future of the Waller Creek Boathouse via Zoom on January 12, 2022 at 5 p.m.

The Blue Line, an 8.2-mile light rail transit corridor that would operate from Republic Square to the Airport, will travel downtown in a tunnel and surface at what is currently the Waller Creek Boathouse. Your feedback and input is encouraged.
