ACD Exploring exists to teach important life and career skills to young people from all backgrounds through immersive career experiences and mentorship.  In addition, young people will learn what it’s like to work as a Code Inspector.  The result is a program of interactive activities that helps youth grow, develop, and pursue their special interests.

In addition to earning college credit—up to 60 hours—and preparing for future professions, students save thousands of dollars in college costs (AISD’s website claims $12k in savings.)   ECHS students are enrolled in both high school and college classes and receive support from AISD and ACC staff to ensure that they are on the right track to a successful college career.  ECHS operates at seven AISD Early College High Schools: Akins, Crockett, Eastside Memorial, Navarro, LBJ, Travis and Northeast.

High school students may apply by filling out the youth application form.
