Corridor Program Office

The Corridor Construction Program is the development, design, and construction of mobility, safety and connectivity improvements on nine major Austin corridors. These improvements are primarily funded by the 2016 Mobility Bond. Learn more about the Corridor Construction Program here.

The 2016 Mobility Bond provides $482 million for the Corridor Mobility Program. The Corridor Mobility Program is the development, design, and construction of improvements along key Austin corridors that enhance mobility, safety, and connectivity for all users—whether you drive, walk, bike, or take transit. Visit the Corridor Mobility Program project page to learn more.

Because the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) seeks to widen and lower portions of I-35 through central Austin, the City has an opportunity to re-connect East and West Austin through new “caps” and “stitches” that can assist in making important strides toward unifying and mending the divide created by the original construction of I-35 and replacing it with amenities that celebrate and connect all Austinites.
