The Water Partnership's Stakeholder Committee is a 15-member group representing the public's diverse interests and backgrounds. One of four advisory committees, the Stakeholder Committee is the public input vehicle and an essential part of the water supply planning process; the Committee makes recommendations to the Executive Management Committee, who includes stakeholder recommendations in presentations to the Austin City Council and LCRA Board.

The Stakeholder Committee toured the Lakeway Municipal Utility District (MUD) water and wastewater treatment systems and learned about reusing treated effluent to irrigate golf courses, common areas, and other landscapes. Lakeway MUD General Manager Richard Eason led the tour. Stakeholders discussed water issues from long-term water supply options, wastewater reuse, and other related topics. Some City and LCRA staff joined the tour. No official business was conducted.

The Stakeholder Committee toured of the LCRA Lakeside Plant and rice farms near Eagle Lake, Texas. Ron Gertson led a tour of the Lakeside Irrigation Division and the Gertson family farm. Stakeholders discussed water issues from long-term water supply options, Region K, groundwater districts, rice farming and the local economy, water movement within the irrigation operations, and other related topics. Some City and LCRA staff joined the tour. No official business was conducted.
