Complaint:
"Officer Crawford badge 2473 pulled me over for expired registration. He pulled me over in a
privately owned lot, and not sure why he even ran my plates or tag if I was obeying traffic laws.
He didn"t explain why I"ve been pulled over just asked for my ID.
I said I didn"t want to give him my information without knowing what I had done. He got visibly
frustrated at me and finally explained after I give him my ID and he failed to pronounce my last
name that he was pulling me over for my expired registration. I told him that the car had been
primarily out of commission until recently, and that I explained that my attitude was and part due
to my grandma"s recent passing (literally had funeral flowers in the car). That did not explain his
attitude.
Citizens deserve to know why they"re being pulled over before they give out their information to
a complete stranger. It is a police officers duty to protect and serve the people (not serve their
own ego). If a police officer cannot handle his emotions he should not be on duty. If you got that
upset pulling me over a expired registration I cannot imagine how this man handles a real
stressful situation.
Yes the incident was today 6/7 around 2:30pm off MLK in a P. Terry"s parking lot, but it seems
the officer conducts themselves in this manner often by his easy. He also stated he wanted to
know who he was talking to multiple times like it would make a difference in his condition, all
humans deserve equal treatment no matter their name, sex, gender, etc. For him to come in so
aggressively when I was asking to have my basic rights met was absolutely absurd. I don"t know
any job that allows individuals to yell at those they serve.
I"ve actually had very positive experiences with APD, and this was surreal. Officers like this give
cops a bad wrap and I hope you manage your bad apples before they harm innocent lives.
Again this was a minor traffic stop I cannot imagine how he would manage a real emergency and I
would NOT want any officer who behaves like this responding to mental health calls or domestic
abuse."

Austin Police Officers Involved: Olson

Complaint:
"Hello, I was just at the Animal Shelter and had a poor interaction with a city employee
apparently using the handicapped electric car charging spot as a personal parking space.
When I alerted her that she parked with no permit, told me she"s a city employee and basically to
""mind my own business". She appears to work at APH. It felt that she was flexing her authority
to abuse the space and laws.
I tried to call Transportation (no answer) and then 311 for assistance. They said a police officer
would be dispatched.
A good while later, Olson came to the scene. I tried to explain the situation about the illegal
parking with no permit, showed her the international towing sign and let her know others have
been ticketed or given a warning here.
She claimed that EV and parking rules were too complicated and asked what I wanted done. She
said it"s her choice to ticket anyone and essentially that she would let the city worker who had
bullied me for the handicap parking spot to stay.
I feel we should better educate officers around EV charging spots and tow/ticketing law for ADA
spaces.
She was later speaking with the offender and essentially seeming to say I was in the wrong to
complain about handicap parking abuse. This doesn"t help citizens regain trust with police.
Now we have an emboldened handicap parking abuser and good citizens afraid of asking for code
to be enforced.
What the corrupt city employee did also by parking illegally was to have the charge rate halve at
the same price for the innocent party. I didn"t have enough charge to get home and she wanted to
get to the full 200/300 miles just because she could.
Thank you,

This happened just now and her unit number was 3530. I felt unsafe to ask for her contact for this
report.
She also said ""I don"t see any handicapped trying to park in the (illegally blocked) handicapped
space." I reminded her that we wouldn"t know as they now had nowhere now to park.
She said warning/ticketing was at her discretion and that she wouldn"t do it.
Thank you"

Austin Police Officers Involved: Briton Taylor #8615
Unknown:
Complaint:
"Hello,
I'm writing to you because I have a serious grievance against Detective Briton Taylor #8615. On
August 26, 2023, I was arrested on two charges, one class B misdemeanor for a terroristic threat
and a third-degree felony for obstruction or retaliation. This is extremely scary to me for the
following reasons and should be prevented with proper procedure of investigation.
On July 26th, two weeks after the alleged video in the affidavit. The complainant is somebody
who has been cyber and physically stalking me ever since 2007. I've tried to lodge numerous
complaints against her, but to no avail. APD has done nothing to stop this situation, despite my
attempts at outreach. On this day, she decided to inform Detective Taylor of an alleged
threatening video and made it a point to illustrate my supposed violent past.
Detective Taylor, therefore decided to do an investigation that was totally incomplete and very
presumptive. He said in the arrest affidavit that this was a threat against a neighbor who has not
been my neighbor for a couple of months as I moved out of that neighborhood in 2023. I had also
changed the address on my driver's license he deliberately overlooked that fact and just decided
that doing a Versadex lookup is sufficient to bring charges. I'm willing to be that he never asked
the supposed "victimized neighbor" about any interaction which never happened.
He made a hostile conclusion based on assumptions rather than facts. It was nothing short of the
former soviet model o, "Show me the man, and I'll show you the crime". This is a flagrant abuse of
power that does not afford equal protection under the law, especially when my accuser is known
to have an extensive history of mental illness. He never even asked why this person was so
interested in stalking and monitoring me when I chose to have nothing to do with her. The same
lack of desire to interact with said "neighbor" is also the same.
In addition, if I was such a threat, why would it take a whole additional month to arrest me?
Wouldn't it be logical to assume that if I wanted to do something that I would have done it
already? This makes no sense whatsoever. I assert that because I have a past, I've been
marginalized and been treated differently than others due to unfounded bias. This is not equal
protection under the law, especially when the facts are not objectively pursued. If the right thing
was done, I would not be writing this letter, because I would not have been arrested under false
and inaccurate pretenses.

"I have a problem with the police in Austin due to inconsistent policing.
While I am very pro-police, there is a noticeable lack of accountability for certain behaviors.
For example, individuals (crackheads & homeless) engaging in threats, vandalism, defecating in
public, jaywalking, and other violent acts often go unchecked, while ordinary citizens are targeted
for minor infractions.
This inconsistency undermines trust and effectiveness in law enforcement."

complainant arrived and started working on the A/C, the tenant then showed up and started
yelling at them to leave. The complainant stated that she had the right to be there because a
broken A/C is an emergency. The complainant states that the tenant then became more
aggressive, so she proceeded to call the police. APD then showed up and spoke to the complainant
briefly and then spoke to the tenant. APD then came back to talk to the complainant, and he asked
her why she didn"t just leave. The complainant stated that she felt like he was being unfair and
also giving bad advice. The complainant stated that she cannot just leave, because the a/c is still
broken, and it"s hot and if something happens to the tenant she will be liable and she would feel
terrible if something happened to them because she didn"t fix the A/C. The APD officer then left
the scene. A few weeks later when the rent was due the tenant refused to pay it. The complainant
stated that the tenant then stated that as per the APD officer, she did not have to pay it and that
she couldn"t just kick her out that there was a process, so she decided not to pay rent because of
that. The complainant stated that she also provided the tenant with an itemized bill of materials

that she does not remember the officers name, but he was Hispanic, short, hefty and had black

woman there and had a cordial conversation. He was in need of someone to talk to to figure out
how to get out of his situation. She asked where he was, and he told her.
Within 15 minutes officers were there with handcuffs. She told him that she was going to send
paramedics to check on him. They handcuffed him in front of his neighbors, and it caused a scene.
He was humiliated and embarrassed by APD. Then they asked him to go inside his unit to check
for weapons. He said he did not have weapons and they he didn"t want them in his room. They
went in anyway. He was angry that they even asked if they were just going to go in there. They
went in and now he is missing money and personal items.
The paramedics did come, threw him in an ambulance and took him to a mental hospital. He
missed the window of time he had to retrieve his items from the evidence warehouse. When they
checked him out at the hospital, they said he was fine. They asked if he was planning on hurting
himself and he said no SO they sent him back to his hotel room.
He stated this was a misuse of power and resources, he stated APD and the people at the crisis
center need to be retrained. They put him face down in handcuffs, and he wasn"t even resisting.
He stated he was being treated like a criminal and he committed no crime. He asked for their

"I was hit by another driver on 6/7 in Austin, TX who ran a red light and struck my vehicle on my
driver side. At the scene, the Austin Police Department let me know that the other driver's vehicle
had temporary plates from January of 2024, and they were unable to gather his insurance
information. However, the police told me they would be following him to the hospital to retrieve
that information.
Today, I received the crash report from the Austin Police Department and was very concerned
with the report. While the police ruled the accident to be his fault, there were no notes about
attempts to collect his insurance information and the section was left blank. The report also
stated that the driver is unlicensed. My main concern was that the police stated drug and alcohol
tests were "not applicable" for the driver. This was my first concern at the scene of the accident as
this driver ran through a solid red light at a very high speed. Lastly, no citations were issued to the
driver including but not limited to: driving unlicensed, driving with expired plates/tags, and
running a red light.
It is absolutely unacceptable that the Austin Police did not issue citations to this driver, nor order
a toxicology report of the driver who hit me. This driver, who broke many, many laws should be
deemed unsafe to drive on our roads. Failing to cite him and failing to test him for drugs and
alcohol means he is likely on our roads again.
I am requiring that my crash report be re-opened and reexamined for failure to report
appropriate information and fields.'

Complaint:
" Her ex-boyfriend took her keys stole her car from her house on the night of 6/14/2024. She
reported it stolen the next day Saturday afternoon around 4:30 pm. When she reported it stolen,
Hays County came out to take the report. She asked that they not tow it once they found, they said
as long as she can get the car within a timely manner, they wouldn"t. APD then found the car
recovered at 3201 Kay St. in Austin. The complainant asked APD not to impound her car, and they
said they didn"t have to if she could get there. She said she would be there in 21 minutes, and
they said they couldn"t wait. She can"t get ahold of anyone at APD to talk to her about this and
has made a service request with 311. Kyle PD is saying this is an APD matter, APD says this is a
towing company issue, and the towing company says this is an APD matter. She can"t afford to get
her car out of tow, and wants the fees reimbursed. She stated she might even lose her job over
this, and all because APD wouldn"t wait 20 minutes."

"She was in a car accident where a driver she believes was under the influence ran a red light and
took out her front end. The police called an ambulance and the other person refused to get in,
then drove away and was in a second accident directly after that which didn't involve another
vehicle.
The other person went to the hospital after the second crash, but the officers put that on the
complainant's crash report and left a lot of blank spaces. The complainant states the crash report
was written wrong, and no one gave the other driver a breathalyzer and she didn't even have
insurance. Her crash report number is 24-1451620. The complainant stated that the officers were
rude, and they handled this whole thing wrong. She is confused as to how the other driver was

It's simply unacceptable that police can sit idle giving traffic tickets yet cannot/ do not enforce

become wider crime hubs and bigger in size when not dealt with immediately, and cause further
anti-social behavior and crime in respect of adjacent properties"

"There is a video posted onto YouTube account TX StreetFights 2 which shows an Austin Police
officer beating a man to a bloody pulp. It appears the man resisted arrest which then causes the
officer to lose his temper and verbally indicate while also smirking, that he would punch him in
the face. The man continued to resist which then causes the officer to beat the man who is on the
ground at this point on his stomach while other officers are restraining his arms and hands. The
officer strikes the man over 10 times in the face and head during this interaction. This video is
similar to the Rodney King beating. With the current state of public appeal of police in America,
this only deepens the bad rep officers receive. I can only hope that after reviewing the video the
officer is reprimanded or atleast sent to training for de-escalation, take down tactics and anger
management.

any follow ups after the initial call. The complainant states that he is frustrated because APD was

OF
Greetings
On Thursday 27 June 2024 around 4:20 PM
I was stopped by what appeared to be a two vehicle accident
AUSTIN
at Lake Creek Parkway and Lakeline Mall Boulevard
At least two Austin Police vehicles were present
and all they did was block various lanes with their vehicles
They made no attempt at all to direct traffic
and get the situation under control
exposing the pedestrians and motorists in the area
to a VERY dangerous situation
We could have gotten more professionalism from the Keystone Cops
My wife and I agree this is inexcusable and unacceptable
Thanks
