Art A La Carte: Gingerbread

Saturday, December 11, 2021
A virtual event.

Facebook Event Page.

With Halloween wrapped up, it’s time for the cable networks to start playing all of the classic holiday episodes of our favorite shows. Who could forget Ross’s Holiday Armadillo? When Dorothy, Blanche, Sophia, and Rose meet Santa at a soup kitchen? When Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, and Lil become Maccababies and name Shlomo the “Meanie of Chanukah?” A Festivus for the rest of us? The Dougherty Arts Center’s virtual event, Art a la Carte: Gingerbread, will be combining our beloved episodes with another holiday classic: gingerbread houses! Join us on from 4-6pm on Saturday, December 11, 2021 for some nostalgic bliss as we re-create our favorite holiday tv moments out of gingerbread, graham crackers, candy, and icing! Learn some pro-level tips and tricks for gingerbread building, decorating, design, and architecture.

Registration through Eventbrite is required to receive unique event details and a Zoom link, plus we’ll be sending out recipes and supply information  to registrants so you can build with us  in your own kitchen.

Below you will find a recommended supply kit and links to suggested recipes for gingerbread and for royal icing as well.
