Work-life can be different! Cooperative management structures offer alternatives with greater autonomy and job satisfaction.

Have you ever wondered if work-life could be different? Cooperative management structures offer a more transparent alternative that gives everyone involved more autonomy at work.

Designing the right cooperative management structures will depend on the needs of your business. In this workshop, we’ll go over the most common structures, including some specific examples from local cooperatives in Austin.

This workshop is good for anyone who is interested in a more democratic workplace, whether it’s a traditionally owned business, a non-profit, or a type of cooperative. We’ll cover the main building blocks and questions to ask when choosing a structure for your business. And we’ll also talk about what it may look like to transition from a more typical structure to a cooperative one.

Presented by Drew De Los Santos from Austin Cooperative Business Association in partnership with the City of Austin and the Texas Rural Cooperative Center at UTRGV.
