This introductory DJ class lead by Austin's DJ Cysūm (pronounced sī sōōm), uses a laptop, controller/mixer, and positive vibes. Participants will learn about equipment, hardware, software, and approaches toward creating DJ sets for audiences or for personal enjoyment. The goals of this class are to complete a couple of mixes on SoundCloud and/or MixCloud, a social media profile setup to reflect your DJ skills, and the skills to be able to rock out a crowd of any size with the equipment you own.

DJ Cysūm (AKA Devon Boyd), doesn’t make beats but composes audible art that will send you on a journey. His eclectic taste of music enables him to produce & mix any genres but with his own flavor on it, and after taking this class, you will find your own style, and leave with a whole new set of skills!
