Domain DCP Switchgear Replacement
Austin Energy seeks a Contractor to replace the current switchgear at the Domain District Cooling Plant. The work consists of the furnish, install, and commissioning of (2) two new M-T-M, 12.47kV, 3200A double-ended secondary unit substations each with MV interrupter switches, dry-type transformers rated at 2 MVA AA / 2.67 MVA FA, and a secondary distribution switchgear section. Installation of the secondary unit new substations shall occur within second level of the plant electrical room (mezzanine). The work also consists of demolition and removal of (4) existing secondary unit substations with MV interrupter switches, dry-type transformers, and distribution switchgear sections (CU 9A, CU 9B, CU 10A, and CU 10B), along with the demolition and removal of associated housekeeping pads.

Dougherty Arts Center Facility Replacement-CMR
Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) for Dougherty Arts Center Facility Replacement - To build a new building and related Structures to the building. The work consists of providing a new Dougherty Arts Center (DAC) facility at the selected site on Butler Shores Park, including all associated sitework, parking, parkland enhancement, public space and right of way improvements. It is the intention of the City that the successful Construction Manager-at-Risk (CMR) work with the Project Management team and Design Consultant early in the design phase for preconstruction services; such as design-phase cost control, constructability reviews; and construction phase services. The solicitation for the Design Consultants is underway and will be awarded prior to the execution of this contract. In the fall of 2018, the Austin community approved Bond Proposition B, which provided funding for replacement of the existing DAC facility, and in spring 2019, Council approved the Parks and Recreation Department’s (PARD) proposed location for this new facility on Butler Shores Park. The future DAC facility is envisioned to build on the existing core arts programs in an improved environment that can better accommodate the City’s significant demand for affordable access to arts services. The CMR shall provide pre-construction and construction services for a new structure that will continually adapt to the needs of users and staff of the DAC. The space should encourage active inquiry, foster the love of learning through thoughtful design and enhance the function of each core arts program. Consistent with the concepts from the preliminary project phase, the arts facility sustainable construction practices on an urban parkland site.

The Work consists of repair of the pond liner in a water quality pond. This work includes restoring the pond liner by installing geotextile cushion, textured linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) geomembrane, and protective cover. Improvements also include outlet structure demolition and reconstruction, installation of rock riprap apron, and wetpond revegetation. Work includes installation of erosion and sedimentation controls and traffic controls as shown in the construction drawings, and other miscellaneous work contained in the contract documents.

Mueller Energy Center Chiller Capacity Addition
The Work consists of providing a minimum of 6,000 ton modular chilled water plant and cooling towers located at the Mueller Development at Garcia St. The plant shall be connected to the existing chilled water distribution system by an existing valve by February 2022. The plant shall be built in a factory environment and consist of a modular building capable of housing the two chillers, three condenser pumps, three variable primary pumps, chilled water side stream filter/pump, piping, controls, and electrical switchboard and distribution. The plant shall have also be provided with stub outs for connection to the existing chilled water distribution system, cooling towers, makeup water, minimum 12,000 ton-hour / 15 degree delta T thermal storage tank and electrical. Cooling towers located adjacent to the modular building shall be provided. Each cooling tower shall be provided with a basin sweeper system with pump.

ATD-Traffic Signs and Pavement Markings Toolbox IDIQ
The scope of work consists of the installation and removal of pavement markings, markers and devices on roadways throughout the City of Austin. These devices include items such as reflective pavement markings (paint, epoxy, MMA, and/or thermoplastic), surface mounted channelizer posts, traffic buttons, reflectorized pavement markers (RPMs) as well as traffic signs. Work will include the placement of new pavement markings after street resurfacing activities and for maintenance of existing pavement markings. This scope also includes selected removal of existing paint or thermoplastic markings as identified. Locations will vary based on the City of Austin Street and Bridge Resurfacing schedule and the Austin Transportation Department’s striping maintenance schedule. Work assignments associated with this contract will occur throughout the City of Austin.

St. Elmo Cheathem Building Renovations
The Work of this Contract comprises the partial interior renovation of an existing one-story municipal building, located near the intersection of East St Elmo Road and Meinardus Drive, at the City of Austin St. Elmo Service Center campus, at 4411-A Meinardus Drive. Work includes the removal and replacement of three RTU’s, as well as interior ductwork re-routing and replacement and installation of new VAV boxes and controls. It also includes the renovation of two existing restrooms, the division of several existing offices into two, installation of a new reception area, enclosure of an existing exterior porch, installation of several new doors and new finishes in parts of the affected areas.
