ABIA Consolidated Maintenance Facility
The Work of this Contract includes requirements to achieve LEED Silver certification as administered by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and it is a nationally known Green Building Rating System. These requirements are shown in all applicable specifications. It is the intent of the Owner to work in partnership with the Contractor in implementing sustainable construction practices to the greatest extent possible. The site being developed for the Airport Consolidated Maintenance Facility (CMF) encompasses approximately 16 acres. The site is located outside the secured area in a northeast section of the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA) property. The overall facility will provide maintenance support to the main airport daily operations. The site is the center for numerous buildings that house various maintenance operations of the airport. Buildings include the Maintenance Headquarters, Motorpool, Warehouse, Trades, Recycling, Truckwash, Garages, several canopies, and the Airport Police. The De-Icing equipment storage building will be located at a location close to the runway access road and connected to the main facility via a new road. The De-Icing facility will be secured with a perimeter fence and controlled access gates. Visitors, staff, and deliveries will arrive at all facilities from Golf Course Road, which intersects HWY 71. The overall development will also include covered parking, concrete and asphalt pavement, sidewalks, parking areas, signing and striping, curb and gutter, landscape areas, storm water structures and ponds, utilities, security fencing and gates.

Water Distribution & Lift Station SCADA Improvements Phase I
The water distribution and lift station telemetry SCADA systems are mission critical systems that are used to operate the City's water distribution facilities and to monitor the wastewater collection system (lift stations). The SCADA Systems are made up of computerized equipment and remote terminal units (RTU's) that use various communications equipment and network links to communicate to a main control center. This project will be replacing obsolete equipment and upgrade the systems to more current technology, and be implemented in two phases. Phase I will replace the top end systems (computers and software) used by the SCADA systems, and Phase II will replace and upgrade the communications equipment and infrastructure used by these computer systems to remotely monitor and control the water and wastewater facilities.

On October 2, 1995, a revision to the City's Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) / Woman-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) / Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Ordinance became effective.
The Ordinance establishes new goals for MBE / WBE / DBE Participation. Bidders are required to document efforts to solicit MBE / WBE / DBEs in the Compliance Plan. The Goals for each project and the instructions and forms for the Compliance Plan are included in the MBE / WBE / DBE Program Packet included in the solicitation. For construction contracts, the MBE / WBE / DBE Program Packet is a separately bound volume of the Project Manual.
