Williamson Creek - Bitter Creek Tributary Channel Rehab
Watershed Protection Department has identified a tributary to Williamson Creek as a priority reach for erosion repair. This stream has adjusted to urbanization by becoming wider and deeper, impacting approximately 67 residential properties along the reach and degrading the riparian habitat. The repair project will stabilize the stream erosion, replace degraded storm drain infrastructure, remove trash, remove sediment from an inline pond, and improve the ecological function.

Walnut Creek WW Treatment Plant Pumping System Improvements
The Work shall include furnishing all tools, labor, materials, equipment, and miscellaneous items necessary for the complete construction of the Walnut Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Pumping System Improvements Project, City of Austin, Capital Improvements Project Number 3023.022. This project consists of improvements to the existing sludge and scum pumping system, settled wastewater pumping system, cooling water system, raw water pumping system, and distributed control system. This Contract includes, briefly and without force and effect upon the documents, the following: 1. Maintenance of erosion controls and tree protection within the limits of construction. 2. Removal and replacement of five (5) existing primary sludge pumps, three (3) scum pumps, associated piping and valves. 3. Removal and replacement of eight (8) existing settled wastewater pumps, and associated discharge piping and valves. 4. Removal and replacement of three (3) existing cooling water pumps, partial replacement of open loop (NPW) piping system, replacement of closed loop piping system, and rehabilitation of existing heat exchangers. 5. Installation of a new portable emergency generator interconnect for raw water pumping system. 6. Removal and replacement of existing LPU-2, LPU-3 and LPU-4 PLCs and instrumentation and control devices with modern components inside new modern cabinets. 7. Removal and replacement of instrumentation and control conduits and wire interconnecting existing LPU-2, LPU-3 and LPU-4 with field instrumentation, equipment and devices. 8. Installation of new air handling units and air scrubbers at PTC2 electrical room and Operations Building MCC electrical room. 9. Installation of a new 480V MCC in PTC2 and improvements to upgrade the capacity of the existing 480V MCC in PTC2 with interconnection of the two MCCs in a main-tie-tie-main configuration. 10. Installation of a new dual channel plant fiber optic communication network in PTC2. 11. Installation of electrical and instrumentation and control systems to support the proposed process equipment improvements. 12. The Ordinance establishes new goals for MBE / WBE / DBE Participation. Bidders are required to document efforts to solicit MBE / WBE / DBEs in the Compliance Plan. The Goals for each project and the instructions and forms for the Compliance Plan are included in the MBE / WBE / DBE Program Packet included in the solicitation. For construction contracts, the MBE / WBE / DBE Program Packet is a separately bound volume of the Project Manual.
