AB+C Portal Offline from 7 p.m. Thursday 7/28 through 8 a.m. Monday 8/1

The City’s Austin Build + Connect (AB+C) Portal will be temporarily unavailable from 7 p.m. Thursday, July 28, through 8 a.m. Monday, August 1.

The Communications and Technology Management Department (CTM) is upgrading the application associated with the AB+C Portal to create a more secure and advanced product. The upgrades are necessary to ensure the long-term continuity of services for Austin residents and developers.

As a result of the upgrade and associated downtime, services available through the AB+C Portal will be unavailable. City staff will remain available for customer appointments, phone, and email support. Response to inquiries that require access to the AB+C portal will be provided on Monday, August 1.

Customers who need to use the AB+C Portal are encouraged to complete those activities by 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 28 or wait until the portal is available again on Monday, August 1.

After the system upgrade, there will be no change in the customer experience while using the AB+C Portal. The upgrade is a technical, back-end upgrade that will improve overall functionality of the system. City employees will experience some changes when accessing the AB+C Portal to process applications and permits and will have received training on these changes prior to the upgrade.

The application associated with the AB+C Portal is complex, with many technical dependencies. CTM and the City have worked to reduce the downtime as much as possible, while still allowing appropriate time for this upgrade. We appreciate your patience as we work to enhance our critical City-wide tools and services.
