The Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery Unit requests the public's help in identifying an armed man who robbed a fast food restaurant. The crime happened on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at approximately 9:34 p.m., at the Taco Cabana on 8415 Research Boulevard.

The suspect, whose description and photo are included below, entered the business and ordered food. As an employee opened the cash register, the suspect pulled out a handgun and stole money. Robbery Detectives are actively working this case, and have several investigative leads.
 
The suspect is described as:

• Black male
• Thin build
• Approximately 5’10” tall
• He was last seen wearing a black mask, black gloves, black sweater, black pants, and black shoes.

APD urges all citizens and business owners to remain vigilant and to be aware of their surroundings at all times. Anyone with any information should contact APD's Robbery unit at 512-974-5092.
