The Austin Police Department Vehicular Homicide Unit is seeking assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in a failure to stop and render aid crash.
The auto vs. pedestrian crash occurred Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at approximately 4:28 p.m. in the 9300 block of Parkfield Drive.
The victim, 77-year-old Linda Kay Fletcher, was killed when a gold 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Fernando Lazcano Sarabia, struck the victim and the vehicle she had just exited.
The preliminary investigation shows the Tahoe was travelling eastbound in the 9300 block of Parkfield Drive at a high rate of speed when Sarabia lost control, hitting and killing Fletcher. The driver fled southbound on Parkfield Drive.
