One notable distinction in this year’s report is the inclusion of testimonials from community members and stakeholders.

AUSTIN, TX – The Austin Code Department announces the release of its 2022 Annual Report, available online now in English and Spanish. It will also be available in Simplified Chinese very soon. The report emphasizes the department’s commitment to elevating the Austin community together through engagement, innovation, collaboration, and fair enforcement.

“At Austin Code, we know that we as a department, a city and a community, are always better, together,” said Director, José G. Roig. “In this report you will see some of the work of our code enforcement and support staff this year. One notable distinction that you’ll see in this year’s report is that we included testimonials from our community members and our key stakeholders. The Austin Code Department has been hard at work, and we are so excited to share our accomplishments with you. We remain committed to our mission to ensure we address Austinites’ needs and stand by our belief that we are better together.”

The report details the projects completed and services provided by the department. Highlights include:

  • 28,449 code complaints investigated
  • 86% of properties achieved voluntary compliance
  • 2,398 licenses issued
  • 5,812 calls were serviced by Code Connect
  • 114 community and neighborhood meetings attended

AUSTIN, TX - El Departamento de Códigos de Austin anuncia el lanzamiento de su Informe Anual 2022, disponible ahora en inglés y español. También estará disponible en chino simplificado muy pronto.  El informe enfatiza el compromiso del departamento de elevar juntos a la comunidad de Austin a través del compromiso, la innovación, la colaboración y la aplicación justa.

"En el departamento del Códigos de Austin sabemos que nosotros, como un departamento, una ciudad y una comunidad, siempre somos mejores, juntos", dijo el director José G. Roig. "En este informe verán parte del trabajo de nuestro personal de apoyo y aplicación de códigos este año.  Una distinción notable que verá en el informe de este año es que incluimos testimonios de los miembros de nuestra comunidad y nuestras partes interesadas claves.  El Departamento de Códigos de Austin ha estado trabajando duro, y estamos muy emocionados de compartir nuestros logros con ustedes. Seguimos comprometidos con nuestra misión de asegurarnos de abordar las necesidades de los residentes de Austin y mantener nuestra creencia de que somos mejores juntos".

El informe detalla los proyectos completados y los servicios prestados por el departamento. Aspectos destacados incluyen:

  • 28.449 denuncias del código investigadas
  • 86% de las propiedades lograron el cumplimiento voluntario
  • 2.398 licencias emitidas
  • El Programa de Conexión de Códigos (Code Connect) atendió 5.812 llamadas
  • Asistieron 114 reuniones comunitarias y vecinales
