Austin, Texas — The Austin Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) and The City of Austin Housing and Planning Department (HPD) have extended the deadline for Project Connect Anti-Displacement Community-Initiated Solutions to June 27. Nonprofit organizations and partnerships will have two additional weeks to submit applications. During the extension, two additional technical assistance workshops will be held on June 3 and June 10.
The Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) was originally announced on April 11. The $20 million available for nonprofit organizations and partnerships, will support community innovation to address key housing challenges that our city is facing. Eligible proposals include programs for households that address one or more of the funding priorities:
- Renter/tenant stabilization
- Expansion and preservation of homeownership opportunities
- Other housing-focused, anti-displacement strategies that support economic mobility opportunities
An addendum has been created that replaces the original Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA). A clarifications document is also available, which includes a summary of questions from the public received by the Austin Housing Finance Corporation.
For more information and access to the updated Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) and online application, visit AustinTexas.gov/CommunityInnovation.
