On Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at approximately 7:29 p.m., Austin 911 received a call of shots fired at 9010 Galewood Dr. The caller reported that a man had been shot numerous times. Austin Police, Austin Fire and Austin-Travis County EMS arrived on scene, locating the victim, Antwan Riddle. Riddle was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas in critical condition. Despite best efforts, Riddle succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced deceased at 8:13 p.m.
 
While patrol officers were interviewing witnesses, a suspect was developed and located in a nearby apartment. Officers took Albert Ellsworth Hardy into custody without incident. Hardy was booked into the Travis County jail for 1^st degree murder. Austin Homicide detectives and crime scene units arrived and processed the scene. 
 
The Travis County Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy today.
