On Sunday, October 13, 2019, at approximately 11:57 p.m., Austin 911 received a call of shots fired at the intersection of Lyons Road and Fiesta Street. Austin Police, Fire and Austin-Travis County EMS arrived on scene where they located 17-year-old Emmet Infante with gunshot wounds. He was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas. Despite the best efforts of first responders and hospital medical staff, the victim succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced deceased at 12:41 a.m.
 
Austin homicide detectives and crime scene units arrived on scene to begin processing evidence. They spoke with witnesses who reported two black males running from the scene after shooting Emmet Infante.
 
The descriptions of the suspects are limited. One is described as being approximately 6’ tall and the other as approximately 5’5” tall.
 
The Travis County Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy today and the cause and manner of death has been ruled a homicide.
