On Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at approximately 5:27 a.m., Austin 9-1-1 received a call of a man bleeding at the bus stop, in the 6500 block of S. 1st Street. Officers arrived at the location and found 60-year-old John Young with a gunshot wound. Young was pronounced deceased on scene at 5:39 a.m. by Dr. Escott.
