On Wednesday, August 10th, 2022, at approximately 9:08 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a call regarding a shooting in the 2100 block of E Oltorf St. Officers arrived on the scene and located a victim, Marvin Flint, with apparent gunshot wounds. Flint was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Specialists responded to investigate the scene. The preliminary investigation revealed that Flint had been walking along Oltorf St when someone approached him and shot him. The investigation shows that Flint knew the person that shot him, and he was targeted. Detectives are still trying to locate a suspect.
