Public invited to attend, share thoughts and questions.
The Austin Parks and Recreation Department (PARD), in partnership with the City of Austin Public Works and Police Departments, invites residents and stakeholders to learn about the implementation of the Holly Shores/Edward Rendon Sr. at Festival Beach Master Plan.
Holly Shores, Edward Rendon Sr. Park at Festival Beach - Master Plan Update Saturday, September 30, 2017 @ 9:30-11:30 AM Conley-Guerrero Senior Activity Center, 808 Nile Street, Austin, TX 78723
Thanks to new funding, the Master Plan Phase IA Implementation is now under way, and we have also begun design, construction and improvements for master plan priorities. This meeting will be an open house format which allows attendees to come and go as they please. Participants will have the opportunity to share their thoughts and have their questions answered by City staff.
In September 2009, City Council passed a resolution that reallocated funds from the Holly Good Neighbor Program to develop a Master Plan for Edward Rendon Sr. Park at Festival Beach, Fiesta Gardens and the Holly Power Plant Site Park. On August 28, 2014, City Council approved the Holly Shores/Edward Rendon Sr. Park at Festival Beach Master Plan.
Park improvements will include upgraded facilities and amenities, increased ADA accessibility, Nash Hernandez Building renovations for Park Rangers and APD Lake Patrol, Hike and Bike Trail improvements and other projects. Additional details are available at: austintexas.gov/hollyshoresmasterplan
