The City of Austin’s Neighborhood Housing and Community Development Department is joining O-SDA Industries and Saigebrook Development to mark the grand opening of Aria Grand Apartments in Travis Heights on Wednesday, January 22, at 4 pm.
Supported in part by $1.5 million made available by the Austin Housing Finance Corporation, the new complex provides 70 new apartment units, 60 of which are set aside for households making between 30 and 60 percent of Austin’s median family income. Some of those units will be dedicated as Permanent Supportive Housing to serve those experiencing homelessness or disability.
The event will include remarks from elected officials and community leaders on how the new units represent a significant increase in the city’s affordable housing inventory. The community will also have an opportunity to tour the newly completed units and amenity spaces while enjoying public art, live local music, and refreshments.
