As airport recovery continues, Austin-Bergstrom (AUS) passenger traffic growth for October 2021 was up 199.6% compared to October 2020.
AUSTIN, TEXAS – As airport recovery continues, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) passenger traffic growth for October 2021 was up 199.6% compared to October 2020 with 1,521,731 passengers flying during the month.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for October 2021 was 1,521,731, up 199.6% compared to October 2020. October 2021 enplanements totaled 759,968, up 201.9%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 513,091, up 224.9%; American Airlines passengers totaled 397,581, up 237.2%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 204,790, up 231.4%; United Airlines passengers totaled 183,690, up 137.5%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 73,886, up 234.2%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 51,853, up 79.6%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 40,386, up 104.5%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 20,453, up 21.8%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 19,127, up 428.7%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 5,407; British Airways passengers totaled 3,412; Hawaiian Airlines passengers totaled 3,160; Air Canada passengers totaled 2,944; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 1,661, up 6.5%; Swift Air passengers totaled 204; and TUI Airways passengers totaled 86.
October 2021 air cargo totaled 26,321,569 lbs., up 17.1% compared to October 2020. International air cargo totaled 2,598,542 lbs., up 7,942.8%. Federal Express carried 8,152,968 lbs., up 2.2%; Air Transport International carried 4,875,389 lbs.; United Parcel Service carried 2,863,851 lbs., up 8.7%; Southern Air carried 1,894,959 lbs.; Atlas Air carried 1,849,261 lbs.; and Amerijet International Airlines carried 1,487,553 lbs.
Air Services transferred 893,043 lbs. of mail, up 15.6%; and 1,747,344 lbs. of belly freight, up 267.1%.
Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 5,527, up 71.4%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 22,893, up 110.6%.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January – October 2021 was 10,384,032, up 90.6%, compared to January – October 2020. January – October 2021 enplanements totaled 5,197,424, up 91.5%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 3,547,606, up 94%; American Airlines passengers totaled 2,379,624, up 110%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 1,447,397, up 110.5%; United Airlines passengers totaled 1,236,497, up 76.3%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 545,650, up 145.7%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 460,026, up 25.2%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 348,691, up 105.3%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 178,024, down 4.4%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 167,348, up 137.5%; Hawaiian Airlines passengers totaled 28,682; Aeromexico passengers totaled 19,516, up 89.6%; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 16,755, up 66%; ; British Airways passengers totaled 3,412; Air Canada passengers totaled 2,944; Swift Air passengers totaled 1,774; and TUI Airways passengers totaled 86.
January – October 2021 air cargo totaled 189,521,273 lbs., up 9.9% compared to January – October 2020. International air cargo totaled 3,403,148 lbs., down 28.3%. Federal Express carried 76,903,879 lbs., up 0.9%; United Parcel Service carried 28,374,648 lbs., up 7.9%; Southern Air carried 24,150,594 lbs.; Amerijet International Airlines carried 14,584,111 lbs.; and Air Transport International carried 11,813,637 lbs.
Air Services transferred 6,722,998 lbs. of mail, up 8%; and 9,528,517 lbs. of belly freight, up 7.7%.
Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 38,224 for January – October 2021, up 37.5%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 160,426, up 46%.
