AUSTIN, TEXAS—Austin Code Department is looking forward to hosting their second annual Spooktacular Bash, a proactive educational event designed to raise awareness about code regulations while promoting the health and safety of Austin neighborhoods. The inaugural 2018 event drew over 400 residents to learn about city codes through an interactive “spooky house” exhibit featuring common code violations. This year, the event aims to reach even more residents and ensure that code education is fun and accessible to all Austinites. The upcoming Spooktacular Bash event will take place at George Washington Carver Museum from 11 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2019.
WHAT: Austin Code Department will present an educational “Spooky House” along with other fun activities like a bounce house, face painting and more. Additionally, City partners will provide helpful resources and activities such as bike lights, reusable bags, wristbands, coloring books, seasonal crafts, and more!
