Deceased:  Justin Allen Smith, White male born 11-18-75

The preliminary investigation shows that a pedestrian was crossing IH 35 from west to east in the 300 block when a 2007, blue Ford Explorer struck him. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.
 
The driver of the Explorer remained on scene and was cooperative. No charges are expected at this time.
