Casey Ballard was in the 1100 block of S IH-35 NB when a red, 2001 Nissan Frontier pickup that was traveling in the middle lane struck him. He was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver remained on site. There was no sign of driver impairment and no charges are expected to be filed.
