The preliminary investigation shows Felix Ybarra was attempting to cross in the 5700 block of S. Congress Avenue, where there is no crosswalk, when he was struck by a maroon, 2013 Kia Sorrento. The driver remained on scene and showed no signs of intoxication.
 
Felix Ybarra was transported to Saint David’s South Austin Medical Center where he died on July 30, 2019.
