Deceased:    Louis Chambers | Black male | 03/17/1967

The preliminary investigation shows that Louis Chambers was attempting to cross N. IH-35 SB in the 6500 block when he was struck by a green, 2011 Ford Focus that was traveling in the inside lane. Louis Chambers was pronounced deceased on scene.
 
The driver of the Ford Focus remained at the crash site and is cooperating with the investigation. No charges are expected to be filed.
