When the COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020, the elected leaders of the City of Austin and Travis County issued emergency orders that, among other provisions, extended active development applications and permits that were set to expire while the orders were in effect. Under those orders, applications and permits were extended until March 1, 2022.
If your application for a site plan, subdivision or building plan review has expired, you will need to submit a new application. For questions about the status of your project, please visit the Austin Build + Connect (AB+C) Portal or contact your case manager.
If you have a permit that has expired and would like to request reactivation, please submit a request through the Service Center.
