Welcome to Golf ATX
Golf Course Update February 11th - The City of Austin Golf courses are open under modified operations. Face masks are required in all common areas and encouraged, but not required on the course or practice areas. Patrons are limited to a maximum of 3 people in the pro shop at a time, masks required. Starting intervals of 10 minutes between groups. All patrons must exercise social distancing. Credit/Debit cards accepted only, no cash please. There will be NO DRINKING WATER on the golf course. Please bring your own water or beverage to the golf course. There will be limited (50% occupancy) for outdoor and indoor seating in food and beverage concession areas and in some cases no concession service. Single use carts (family/related) or walking only. Fivesomes are not permitted. All tournaments remain cancelled at this time.
City of Austin golf courses will reopen Tuesday, 2/23, normal operating hours.
Starting Monday, Feb. 1st - Portions of the Clay/Kizer Driving Range will be closed to install a new high end synthetic tee on the back portion of the range. The new synthetic tee will allow for better transition time to re-establish grass and will be used during certain days of the week (to be determined). Space will be limited during installation and the range will have some closures during construction.
Public Notice - The City of Austin PARD Golf Division will eliminate the BYOB (Bring Your Own Booze) policy that currently exists in favor of transitioning the liability to our concessionary operators. This transition will require operators to obtain required permits from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) as well as any necessary insurance as outlined under the City of Austin guidelines. The elimination of the BYOB policy will not prohibit a patron from bringing water or food on a city-operated golf course. The prohibition will be limited to “no outside alcohol.“ This new policy will take effect beginning October 1st and extend to all city operated golf courses: Lions, Clay/Kizer, Morris Williams, Hancock, Butler Pitch & Putt and the Golf Driving Range Round Rock. Outside alcohol is not permitted at Grey Rock.
