Through fun and interactive activities using literature, visual and performance arts, and multimedia, kids and teens have the unique opportunity to participate in an array of cultural art classes, workshops, and camps. Important themes include Asian and Asian American history, contemporary issues, diaspora studies, and multiculturalism.
The Asian American Resource Center (AARC) invites 10th-12th grade students to go beyond the traditional professions and explore diverse career paths at the Inaugural Asian American Teen Career Day conference on Saturday, March 7 from 8:30am – 2pm.

Fees and Registration
Resident: $200/ Non-Resident: $215
A $35 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration. Payment balance must be paid off by 21 days before the camp start date. Registrations canceled at least 7 days before the camp start date may be issued a refund minus the $35 non-refundable deposit.
Registration opens Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 10am (Austin Residents) and 1pm (Non-Austin Residents) at austintexas.gov/ParksOnline
Walk-in Registration is available during the AARC’s regular business hours.
Online Registration is available for most programs/events except for Youth Spring and Summer Camps. To register online, please visit the Parks and Recreation Department. Account creation is required for new enrollees. If you have previously enrolled in a Parks and Recreation program before, please call us at (512) 974-1700 to get your account information.
Tours and School Field Trips
As a cultural destination in Austin, field trips to the AARC can be accommodated upon request. To schedule a tour or field trip to the Asian American Resource Center, please complete and return the Tour/Field Trip Request form. Once your request is received, staff will review the form and respond to the request within one week’s time. All tours require 2 week advance notification.
