College Student Commission
About the Commission
The College Student Commission is established to represent this constituency of the City by serving as an advisory board to the city council concerning issues affecting the quality of life for higher education students in the Austin area. The commission shall: (1) advise the council on topics that affect college students in the Austin area including, but not limited to, issues relating to transportation, housing, affordability, immigration, and public safety; (2) evaluate and recommend programs, policies, and practices that could improve the quality of life of college students in the Austin area; and (3) provide opportunities for college students to contribute to the City's culture, economy, and character, and promote such contributions. See Section 2-1-124 of the City Code.
