Community Input - Spirit of East Austin

On Sept. 12, 2015, approximately 500 people participated in an open discussion of the challenges and opportunities we have “facing East.”

More than 1,900 comments were collected on from participants about their personal experiences, resources and various quality of life issues within their community.

During the Sept. 12, 2015, Spirit of East Austin launch event the City of Austin facilitated community discussions in 12 subject areas. Community members were asked:

  • What community resources do we have?
  • What community resources are we missing?
  • What’s one thing you could have to improve the quality of life?
  • What’s one thing I can do to make a difference?
