APD Detectives Search for Suspect in Connection to a Collision Involving Serious Bodily Injury

Location:  1600 block of W Ben White Blvd.
 
On October 23, 2025, at approximately 8:06 p.m., Austin Police (APD) officers responded to a crash that involved a suspect vehicle, a pedestrian, and a dog. The suspect vehicle left the scene immediately after the crash.
 
The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries and has since been released. The pedestrian’s dog died as a result of the crash.
 
The suspect vehicle is described as:

  • Chevrolet
  • Pickup truck
  • Two-door
  • Blue or black in color
