Central Health Board of Managers
About the Board
Texas Health and Safety Code requires that a Board of Hospital Managers be appointed for the Travis County Hospital District. The Hospital District was created by the election of May 15, 2004 and the District assumes ownership of the City owned Brackenridge Hospital and furnishing of medical aid and hospital care to indigent and needy persons residing in Travis County.

The City of Austin and Travis County each appoint four members to the Central Health Board of Managers, in addition to a consensus candidate jointly selected by both entities.
