Austin Police (APD) Detectives Search for a Suspect in Connection to Multiple Theft Cases

The Austin Police (APD) Criminal Investigation Division detectives are requesting the public’s help with identifying a suspect in connection to multiple mail theft cases. In every case, the suspect walks up to the front door of the residence in broad daylight, wearing a glow vest, looking down at his phone, then he picks up a package and leaves. He appears to be driving a black SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Equinox.
The suspect is described as:
- Middle Eastern
- 30 to 50 years of age
- 150 lbs.
- 5’4” to 5’6” tall
- Rectangular glasses with black rim
- He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black athletic shorts, black slide sandals, and a green North Texas hat, worn backwards
The suspect vehicle is described as:
- Chevrolet Equinox
- Possibly 2018-2022
- Dark rims
- Dark tint
