On October 5, 2025, at approximately 11:53 a.m., Austin Police (APD) Officers responded to a call that reported a deceased person located at 4406 Ave A #3. Officers arrived at the scene and located a clearly deceased female in bed in her bedroom at this location. The victim, identified as Nitza Debiase, was pronounced deceased at 12:04 p.m.
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Specialists responded to process the scene and interview witnesses. The investigation showed that Ms. Debiase was physically attacked and strangled by an ex-boyfriend, Paul Allen, and caused her death. Allen then left the area.
On October 9, 2025, Allen was located and arrested with the help of the Travis County Sheriff’s Office, the Pflugerville Police Department, the Texas Department of Public Safety and Austin Police Tactical Intelligence and Air Units. Allen has been charged with the First-Degree Murder of Ms. Debiase.
