APD Detectives Search for a Suspect in Connection to a Collision Involving Serious Bodily Injury

Austin Police (APD) Highway Enforcement Unit Detectives are requesting the public’s assistance with identifying the suspect in connection with a Collision Involving Serious Bodily Injury case.
 
The crash between a vehicle and a bicyclist happened on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 3:35 p.m., near the intersection of West 30th Street and East Drive. The bicyclist, a White male, was struck by an unknown vehicle, who immediately fled the scene without calling 9-1-1 or providing aid. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and has since been released.

Investigators learned that there were possibly two witnesses who flagged down help following the incident. At this time, investigators have not been able to identify or speak with those witnesses. APD is asking them, or anyone else who may have information, to come forward so detectives can further investigate.
