On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 8:32 p.m., Austin Police (APD) officers responded to a collision between a motor vehicle and a pedestrian in the 2200 block of East Riverside Drive. The pedestrian, who remains unidentified at this time, was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced deceased. 

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 83rd fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 87 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2024, 78 fatal crashes resulted in 83 deaths. These statements are from the initial assessment of the fatal crash, and the investigation is still pending. Fatality information may change.
