APD Detectives Search for a Suspect in Connection to a Collision Involving Personal Injury

Suspect vehicle:  Black Chevrolet Tahoe

On Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 6:32 p.m., Austin Police (APD) officers responded to a collision between a vehicle and an individual in the 6800 block of McNeil Road. The victim, a FedEx delivery driver, had stopped his delivery truck in the center lane of McNeil Road in order to make a delivery. As the victim exited out of the front passenger door, an unknown black Chevrolet Tahoe struck them and immediately fled the scene without stopping to render aid. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
