Austin Police Detectives Seek Public Assistance in Robbery Investigation

The Austin Police (APD) Robbery Unit is seeking public's assistance in identifying a suspect connected to a robbery that occurred at the Target store located at 9500 S IH 35 on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

The suspect, whose pictures and description are provided below, entered the store and selected several men's clothing items. As he was heading toward the exit, a loss prevention employee attempted to intervene. The suspect then assaulted the employee and fled on foot through the parking lot to his vehicle. Video surveillance captured him leaving in a dark gray pickup truck.

  • White male
  • Approximately 6’0” – 6’3” tall
  • Mid 30s to early 40s years of age
  • Large built
  • Last seen wearing: Gray long-sleeved shirt, light gray capri pants or joggers, white shoes, grey ball cap featuring a black and white shield logo.
