OPO Recommendation for Case #2024-0817, Officer Jacob Harper
In response to Commander Shauna Griffin's disciplinary determination regarding Officer Jacob Harper's conduct, the Office of Police Oversight recommends that the complaint be sustained, that he be assigned a Class B classification, and that he receive documented counseling.
OPO's review of the Internal Affairs investigation revealed that Officer Harper intentionally muted another officer's body-worn camera while responding to an incident so he could voice his frustrations about the call. Further, Officer Harper admitted to violating General Order 303.4.
