Request an outdoor liquified petroleum gas installation approval
The Austin Fire Department must approve the installation of any stationary liquified petroleum gas container, above or below ground.
Do I need a permit?
All containers at a commercial business, multi-family housing, and one or two-family dwellings require a permit.
A permit is NOT required for non-commercial use at a single-family residence.
Apply for a permit
Before installation, the property owner, container supplier, or installer MUST receive a permit for installation.
