Temporary suspension of Officer Phillippe Bohn
Chief of Police Joseph Chacon determined that Officer Bohn's actions violated Civil Service Commission Rule 10.03 and suspended him from his duties for four days, from April 10, 2023, to April 13, 2023. An Internal Affairs investigation revealed that Officer Bohn violated Civil Service Rules and APD policy when he improperly accessed a City-issued computer to search an APD database without authorization. Officer Bohn searched for information about a person who filed a complaint with the Office of Police Oversight. Officer Bohn then used this information without authorization to initiate a civil suit against the complainant.
