Join us for another "That's My Face" free screening of Stormy Weather at the Carver!

The Carver Museum proudly presents That’s My Face, a film series celebrating powerful Black representation on screen. In honor of Jazz Appreciation Month, we invite you to a special screening of Stormy Weather, a timeless musical that highlights the brilliance of Black performers during Hollywood’s Golden Age.

Starring the legendary Lena Horne alongside icons like Bill Robinson, Cab Calloway, and Fats Waller, and directed by Andrew L. Stone, Stormy Weather tells the story of a dancer’s rise to fame while showcasing unforgettable jazz, dance, and musical performances that shaped American culture.

Jazz Appreciation Month, established in 2001 by the Smithsonian Institution, honors the rich history and global influence of jazz, an art form deeply rooted in African American communities. At the Carver, we celebrate this legacy by uplifting the voices, artistry, and cultural contributions that continue to inspire generations.
