Provides continuity and communication among stakeholders and advocates as the South Central Waterfront Plan moves toward implementation and to provide recommendations to the city council regarding plan implementation.

Provide a report to Council with a description of existing City community engagement tools, innovative techniques and technologies used across the country; identification of best practices; and recommendations for enhancing existing resources.

To advise the Council on potential actions the City can take to reduce gun violence at the local level and to make recommendations for enhancing existing resources and campaigns. The Task Force also may recommend actions to the City.

The Technology Commission advises the city council on telecommunications services and community technologies.

The Tourism Commission provides expertise and recommendations to the city council concerning hotel occupancy tax revenue collected by the city and issues related to and that promote tourism.

The Travis Central Appraisal District (TCAD) oversees the real and personal appraisal value of properties in Travis County as prescribed in Texas Tax Code, Chapter 6.

May study, investigate, plan, advise, report, and recommend any action, program, plan, or legislation which the board determines necessary or advisable for the care, preservation, pruning, planting, replanting, removal, or disposition of trees.

Oversees the implementation and compliance of approved Urban Renewal Plans adopted by the Austin City Council.

Advise the city council, city manager and all other transportation-related departments concerning transportation-related matters.
