Carver Campers will explore the history and influence African Americans have had across various art forms and creative industries, including film, architecture, and design. Campers will also examine African American contributions to the fitness and wellness industry by learning about acclaimed Black athletes and fitness icons, emphasizing the importance of health consciousness and physical well-being. Campers will also study influential Black architects and interior designers, as well as iconic and historic, Black-built structures, gaining insight into their significance and legacy. Additionally, campers will study the impact of African Americans on the film industry by exploring the work of influential Black film directors, writers, cinematographers, and actors who have shaped storytelling and representation in media.
Registration for Carver Summer Camps is limited to one (3-week) session per participant.
Drop off time: 8:30 am
Pick up time: 5:00 pm – 5:30 pm
*Campers should bring their own lunch; snacks will be provided.
