Merion Circle Water and Wastewater Renewal

The Merion Circle Water and Wastewater Renewal is part of Renewing Austin, Austin Water's ongoing program to replace aging water and wastewater infrastructure throughout the city. The project will replace approximately 1,800 linear feet of existing 6-inch water line with 8-inch PVC pipe and install 1,050 linear feet of new wastewater line. Austin Water has documented numerous breaks and leaks in these pipes over recent years, and replacing them will help us conserve water and reduce costs from repeated repairs while strengthening our system.

The new lines will be installed on Merion Circle, Newport Lane, Langwood Drive and Barons Court. A project map with water line and wastewater line locations is available in the Communications section.

Timeline

Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2026 and is expected to take 13 months to complete.
