12 Hour Shift (42 Hour Work Week) Sample
12 hour shifts are day or night and begin either at 07:00 for the day shift or 19:00 for the night shift. All new employees should expect to begin on a night shift.
On-call assignments are based on the employee’s assigned work shift. For example, individuals working a 12 hour day shift schedule will be on-call for 12 hours during the day. During this time, you will be compensated at $2.00/hr. on-call pay. In the event that you are called in while on-call, you will be compensated at an overtime rate for any time worked over 40 hours.
